Hi my name is Dotti, Most of my friends call me Dee though. 23 turning 24 on September 19th 2013. I got really sick when I was 12, On Easter Sunday and ever since then my life hasn’t been the same. I’ve been in and out of the hospital at least twice a month every month since then. Cats cans MRI’s, X-Rays, Ultrasounds. Even Chemotherapy when I was just 13. I’ve had my Appendix removed, My gallbladder, I’ve had numerous Kidney, and Bladder biopsies & most importantly I’ve had my life line put in – my port a cath! The Chemotherapy was 8 rounds of Cytoxan. That year I made honors in school. Today, I’m in college, studying to be a Pediatric Medical Assistant. It’s extremely hard to keep up with my class mates and professor but I manage to. I get special accommodations but I never use them because I want to be as normal as I can be. I live at home right now with my 3 ferrets, Chloe, Bailey & Odi. Chloe is literally my hero. She used to get me out of my deep dark depression stages I was in by jumping and playing on the bed while I was asleep, and then she would get under my covers nice and slow and CRUNCH. Bite my foot, like “get up mom!”
Well now that you know a little about me, Please come and join my bike ride and help us find a cure for Dotti!
